Bio

Ms. Higgs is a veteran teacher with 16 years of experience serving in various public school systems. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Ms. Higgs began her career as a third grade teacher. Since then, she has taught grades 2-8 in multiple school districts and schools. Ms. Higgs has received her Masters in Educational Leadership from Mercer University and holds Georgia Department of Education endorsements in Gifted Education as well as Teacher Support and Coaching. 

In addition to teaching, Ms. Higgs is an author, pubic speaker, and founder of a youth leadership development program. When she is not busy inspiring and molding young minds as a teacher and mentor, she speaks on various public platforms as a mental health speaker and advocate as well as serve in multiple leadership capacities within various community organizations.
