Juliana Jenkins - 6th Grade Earth Science
Juliana Jenkins brings over 20 years teaching experience to The Main Street Academy where she has taught Middle School Science for the last 7 years. Ms. Jenkins holds a B.S. Degree in Geology from Georgia State University and is excited to share her passion for Earth Science with students. Driven by a core philosophy that every child has the capacity to learn, Ms. Jenkins applies a student- driven, differentiated, constructivist approach to instruction in an effort to "meet students where they are" as they navigate their academic, social, and emotional journey into early adulthood. Valuing "process above product," Ms. Jenkins strives to help students develop strong cooperative learning skills, apply good decision making, and practice deliberate risk-taking skills while building a lifelong passion for learning.
In addition to a B.S. Degree in Geology, Ms. Jenkins holds a minor in Biology from Georgia State University, Master Naturalist and Master Herpetologist certificates, and is a Certified Interpretive Guide.
