Dear TMSA Community, 

The Main Street Academy (TMSA) has been recommended for a three-year charter renewal by the Fulton County Schools (FCS) staff and raters. As we move forward in this process, your support is vital in demonstrating the importance of TMSA to our students, families, and the community.

We encourage you to show your support for TMSA by attending any of the upcoming Fulton County Schools Board meetings:

Work Session

• Date: Tuesday, February 11, 2025

• Time: 12:30–7:30 PM (Public Comments begin at 6:00 PM)

• Location: North Learning Center

Regular Board Meeting

• Date: Thursday, February 20, 2025

• Time: 4:30–7:30 PM (Public Comments begin at 6:00 PM)

• Location: South Learning Center

How to Register for Public Comments

• Up to seven speakers may address the School Board at each meeting.

• Five slots are available by calling the Superintendent’s Office at (470) 254-6895 starting two weeks before the meeting and no later than noon on the meeting day.

• Two slots are reserved for sign-ups at the meeting site between 5:30–6:00 PM.

Following the official Fulton County School’s Board vote on February 20, 2025, the official action will be moved to the State Charter Schools Commission for final approval and conferral. It is important to note that FCS staff recommendation is in direct correlation with TMSA’s overall past performance (academics, operations, compliance, etc.) over the past five years. As an independent charter school, it is vital for the school overall to show positive progress in all areas. The FCS staff commended the academic progress that has been shown in elementary on CCRPI and recommends that this positive trend continue in middle school and all other domains.
