Hello TMSA Parents and Guardians,
The Main Street Academy's current 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grade music enthusiasts are invited to participate in this year's Instrumental Petting Zoo. This FREE event will be hosted at Banneker High School on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. inside the BHS Gymnasium. Banneker High School is located at 6015 Feldwood Rd., Atlanta, GA 30349.
This initiative is hosted by the middle school and high school band directors in the Banneker High School Cluster, to pique the interest of music students in the cluster's elementary and middle school music programs who have never performed on an instrument. We would like for each student to have the opportunity to view, assemble and test out band instruments (flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto and tenor saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone/euphonium, tuba and percussion) prior to the 2024-2025 school year [we are still working on securing double reed (oboe, bassoon) clinicians].
