The TMSA Difference: Over 30% of the '23 - '24 8th Grade Class Have Been Enrolled Since Kindergarten

Today, The Main Street Academy (TMSA) is the largest K - 8 Fulton County Schools (FCS) charter school by way of enrollment. TMSA opened its academic doors to the FCS community in 2010, initially serving students in grades K - 5. Beginning in 2012, TMSA expanded to include additional middle school grades - 6th, 7th, and 8th. TMSA has over 800 K - 8 students enrolled. Almost 100 students are currently enrolled in the 8th grade. The 8th graders will matriculate to various high schools throughout the FCS district in the next 2024 - 2025 school year. What’s especially different and unique about TMSA is that over 30% of the 2023 - 2024 8th-grade students have been enrolled at TMSA since kindergarten!

At TMSA Intentional Excellence Centered in Community is our standard. This is why several parents choose TMSA as the sole school for their students to achieve academic excellence from kindergarten through 8th grade.

TMSA Parent Testimonial

TMSA has given my two children a family away from home.  Because TMSA is smaller than a regular public school, teachers know my children and know me as their parent.  I was welcomed to communicate and was often asked for support at home with what they were learning in school.   When one of my children struggled, I was contacted because teachers at TMSA don't let children fall through the cracks.

The teachers care about the kids while they are there and continue to care even after they leave. Teachers still come to my 10th grader's high school games and activities to support her.  Teachers attend after-school events to support my 8th grader as well.  I am grateful for all the love and support that my family has received since 2012 at TMSA.

Also, I have been able to develop close relationships with the parents of the other children who have been at TMSA since Kindergarten, and these other parents and teachers make up the village that continues to support my family.   We all look out for each other.  I do not doubt that we will all continue to look out for each other and support each other as our kids go to high school.

I would recommend TMSA to anyone who is looking for a family for their child, who wants their child to be loved and supported, and who wants their child to grow and learn.  If you pour into TMSA, you will receive so much in return.
