On March 22, 2024, students from The Main Street Academy’s (TMSA) Aviation and Coding Drones and Aviation Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM) clusters, attended the Aviation Career Expo hosted by the Fulton County Executive Airport in partnership with the Transportation Education Foundation. The primary purpose of the expo was to expose the students to careers within the aviation industry and interface with several high-profile aviation companies, including Lockhead Martin. TMSA students also interacted with several organizations at the expo including the Atlanta Chapter, Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. where they met the chapter’s chaplain - Rev. Thomas Holt.
Mr. Aiken, who sponsors TMSA’s Aviation and Coding Drones SEM cluster, intends to partner with Georgia Air and Space Museum and Education Center for future aviation-based school initiatives.
