The Main Street Academy's concert band received an "Excellent" rating at the 2024 Georgia Music Educator Association (GMEA) District V Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) hosted at Creekside High School on March 20, 2024. This annual event features the performances of middle and high school band ensembles throughout the Fulton County Schools district.

The Main Street Academy's Band Director, Mr. Lackey, recently awarded TMSA's 2024 - 2025 Teacher of the Year, proudly stated, "The students did an excellent job, especially as this was the first time several students participated in LGPE. I am super proud of the students and as they were excited to see the results of their hard work!"
