It is March Madness at The Main Street Academy (TMSA). Our forward-thinking leader, Principal Revere, is coaching the teaching team into the fourth quarter in preparation for the Georgia Milestones!
On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, TMSA’s faculty and staff were involved in an intense and intentional day of professional development. Principal Revere, Assistant Principal Avery, and selected teachers conducted various workshops that provided all faculty and staff with a plethora of instructional practices and instructional strategies. Teachers attended sessions to sharpen their pedagogical skills in utilizing small group instruction, conducting Number Talks, meeting the specific needs of all students, and analyzing recent student data to devise a playbook for March Madness! Teachers also gained expertise in various modes of lesson delivery while exploring the 4 C’s (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, and Collaboration.) Scoot, Escape Room, Gallery Walk, and Jigsaw were just a few of the instructional strategies shared.
All faculty and staff thoroughly enjoyed the exciting and applicable professional development sessions presented by their colleagues! Please see any TMSA teacher to learn more about TMSA’s March Madness Playbook.
