The Main Street Academy observed Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October 1 – 31, 2022, to show support for everyone affected by the disease. TMSA’s teachers, administrators, staff, and students participated in a wide array of activities throughout the month of October such as wearing pink attire (the pink out) to parent volunteers preparing pink colored punch. Each year in the United States, about 264,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in women and about 2,400 in men. About 42,000 women and 500 men in the U.S. die each year from breast cancer.
