Did you know Islam is the second-largest religion in the world? According to a study conducted by the First Amendment Center, teaching world religions in the classroom has a positive effect on students’ views on similarities between major religions, religious freedoms and the importance of civil liberties in general.
On October 13, 2022, TMSA’s 6th grade scholars gained educational insight into the Islamic religion. Guest lecturer, and former TMSA teacher, Asam Abdullahi, shared visuals, documented history and personal details pertaining to the Islamic religion she practices. TMSA's 6th grade scholars respectively discussed and compared various religions during the lectures as they learned more about the "World of Islam".
