First Grade

TMSA first graders are learning how to express their emociones in Spanish. We have been learning to use emojis to practice different feelings. As we learn the feelings, students are also reviewing gendered language in Spanish. For example, to say that you’re feeling tired, you would say cansado if you’re a boy/man and you would say cansada if you’re a girl/woman.

Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades

TMSA's third through fifth-grade scholars have been learning to describe el tiempo or the weather in Spanish. They just began to practice saying the días de la semana, los meses del año and las fechas so students can complete their Spanish weather project where they are making weather reports for different cities around the Spanish-speaking world. Students must incorporate their days of the week, dates and weather into creating their pronóstico del tiempo.
