Greetings TMSA Community,
Happy New Year's Eve!
Fulton County Schools (FCS) released the enclosed press release this afternoon as it pertains to the second-semester re-opening of district schools post-Winter Break.
As an FCS public charter school, The Main Street Academy will adhere to the district's second semester re-opening plans as follows:
- All TMSA students (K - 8) will receive remote learning from Tuesday, January 4 until Friday, January 7, 2022
- TMSA staff will report remotely on Monday, January 3, 2022 and Tuesday, January 4, 2022 and in-person beginning Wednesday, January 5, 2022
Additional logistical details are forthcoming for students who need to obtain the technical and/or educational resources to successfully receive remote instruction.
Lastly, COVID surveillance testing is crucial to ensure the safety of our school's community.
Next, Monday, January 3, 2022 and Wednesday, January 5, 2022, The Main Street Academy in partnership with MAKO Medical, will FREE onsite COVID testing to TMSA students (as well as their immediate families) teachers and staff from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. (testing will be conducted towards the back of the school near the gymnasium). Online registration is required for TMSA students who haven't previously registered for onsite testing. Important note: Only persons who test positive for COVID-19 will be notified of their results directly from Nurse Jackson.
