The Main Street Academy's Visual Arts Department is going strong even while virtual! TMSA scholars are honing their drawing skills with increasingly advanced drawing exercises. Students are also engaged and being creative as they draw put their own designs into various well-guided renderings.
During virtual instruction, Middle School students are creating Nature Sculptures outdoors. Outdoor sculpture compositions are 100% student vision and design based on the artwork of Andy Goldsworthy.
For each class, all art students are encouraged to write several sentences about an artwork related to what they are working on. This is a great way to expose them to a variety of artwork, as well as, a way to encourage writing cross-curriculum.
