October is National Principals Month

Greetings TMSA Families,

As the first quarter is winding down, we are seeing great gains in students’ academic, social and emotional learning. There are a few ways that you can support us at home as we enter the second quarter (which begins October 13, 2021). We are utilizing every minute of our day to provide extra support or enrichment. Teachers ensure that students have meaningful tasks during the period before the morning bell (7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.). They also provide “differentiated” support during flex time daily. Encourage your scholar to focus during these especially important segments of our day to get the most out of this time.

Starting late October, TMSA will offer after-school tutorials and Saturday School. These opportunities enable students to refine their skills and accelerate learning. More information will be provided in the upcoming coming weeks regarding eligibility and registration.

This upcoming second quarter will offer various fun events that we want our scholars to engage in, including the annual Fall Scholastic Book Fair (October 14 - 22, 2021, Book Character Dress Up Day (October 26, 2021), Fun Fridays, holiday parties, and more. Please speak with your scholar about safe practices as it relates to candy and treats. Students should not bring candy to school. Parents are asked not to send candy to school with your child. Holiday parties and Fun Friday treats should be coordinated through your child’s teacher. Let’s keep each other safe during these fun months.  As always, thank you for choosing TMSA for your scholar’s education.

Warm Regards,
