Registration is Now Open for TMSA's 2nd Quarter Virtual Instruction Option

October 6, 2021

Greetings TMSA Parents and Guardians,

Registration is now open for you to voluntarily opt your student(s) into receiving virtual instruction for the second quarter only (October 13, 2021 - December 17, 2021) at The Main Street Academy. If your student is currently enrolled for first-quarter virtual instruction, you are required to re-register for the second quarter (your student will not be automatically transferred). The Main Street Academy's virtual instruction model entails teachers instructing face-to-face and virtual students simultaneously during regular school hours.

Registration is required for students to enroll in second-quarter virtual learning. The window to register is Wednesday, October 6, 2021 and Thursday, October 7, 2021 (no exceptions). Please click here to register.

Important details:

  • TMSA households may not opt into second-quarter virtual learning instruction after the deadline – Thursday, October 7, 2021.
  • Students in all grade levels (K – 8) will receive school-issued Chromebooks for virtual instruction. TMSA households are required to complete and submit the 2021 – 2022 User Device Agreement.
  • TMSA will not provide breakfast and lunch to students receiving virtual instruction.
  • All students, both face-to-face and virtual, must wear their TMSA uniforms during instruction. Virtual students are required to wear their school uniforms during instruction.
  • TMSA is reinstating the Virtual Hotline managed by Jamil Pearson, Parent Liaison. The purpose of the Virtual Hotline is to assist TMSA households with virtual students who may experience technical difficulties with devices and/or virtually accessing and attending classes.
  • Families who opt for virtual instruction during the second quarter and have already paid October 2021 fees for the TMSA’s Before and After School Program will receive a refund. Should families opt to return to face-to-face instruction second quarter, they will be placed on the Before and After School Program’s waitlist as spots will not be held. Please contact Marisol Clark, Director of TMSA's Before and After School Program, if you have any concerns.
  • Households opting for virtual instruction may pick up their students’ desk supplies, etc. from the school. Please make arrangements with your student's teacher(s).

Families opting for virtual instruction will receive logistical details from their teacher(s).

Please contact TMSA’s administrative team if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

TMSA’s Administrative Team
