TMSA Virtual and/or Hybrid Instructional Learning Update

August 20, 2021

Greetings TMSA Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your trust and support as The Main Street Academy (TMSA) continues to work towards our mission to provide all students a challenging and enriching education from a dedicated and student-focused staff in partnership with highly involved parents.

An important part of delivering an enriched education is keeping students safe, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic.  TMSA is a district authorized charter school of Fulton County Schools (FCS). FCS recently authorized charter schools, including TMSA, to offer virtual and/or hybrid instructional options to students for the first semester of the 2021 – 2022 academic school year. Authorization is contingent upon FCS approving TMSA’s proposed plan.

Please stay posted as you will receive a survey from TMSA early next week. The survey allows TMSA to gain your household’s input and preferences pertaining to virtual and/or hybrid (virtual and face-to-face) instruction for the first semester. Your input is vital as the administration team develops an instructional plan for both the Governing Board and FCS to review and approve.

As always, it’s important for TMSA scholars to remain home if they are sick. Click here to obtain a listing of free COVID-19 testing sites. TMSA is planning to offer onsite COVID-19 testing soon. If your child tests positive for COVID-19, please complete and submit TMSA’s Student and Staff Confirmed COVID-19 Case Form. Additionally, please review and familiarize yourself with TMSA’s COVID-19 Notification Protocol, created by the school’s administration in conjunction with School Nurse and the school’s Health and Safety Committee, to obtain the notification process TMSA adheres to in notifying TMSA households, teachers, and staff of confirmed COVID-19 student cases.

TMSA will continue to keep all stakeholders up-to-date.

Be safe and be well.

Thank you,

TMSA Administration
