Dear TMSA Community,
It’s with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction as your new Managing Principal. I look forward to getting to know each of you as we work together to continue the long-standing tradition of pride and excellence at TMSA.
Prior to being appointed Managing Principal, I was a global school leader in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for five years whereupon I was immersed into a culture that believed education is the greatest gift to bestow upon children and has a long-lasting impact not only on the students, but the communities in which the students live and will work in the future. Additionally, for 12 years, I was a teacher and school administrator for Fulton County Schools and a middle school teacher for the School District of Philadelphia.
Following my duration in the UAE, I was eagerly returned to my community to ensure our students receive the best education available and prepare them for a 21st century education centered on innovation, collaboration, diversity, and leadership. I also believe school communities in partnership with businesses and civic stakeholders should spare no cost in providing children with world-class academic experiences. As such, I am committed to TMSA’s motto – Intentional Excellence, Centered in Community.
At The Main Street Academy, we are committed to putting our students first. This commitment is upheld by our entire educational staff as we hold ourselves accountable for the success of our students.
I truly represent The Main Street Academy, not only as a Governing Board member, but most importantly as a committed TMSA parent since the school opened its doors to the community in 2010. Under my leadership, home-school relations will be the foundation for bridging student success, as parents and guardians have a significant role in the success of TMSA students. Additionally, trust is significant to home-school relations and we want to earn your trust by communicating effectively with you and adhering to TMSA’s mission.
