School-wide Virtual Learning: February 8 - 12, 2021

The Main Street Academy's front office is open February 8 - 12, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. to enable students who were absent from on-campus instruction last week to retrieve their resources for virtual learning this week, replace Chromebooks, answer phone calls, receive deliveries, and admit vendors.

Dear TMSA Parents and Guardians,

The Main Street Academy’s Governing Board convened an emergency meeting this afternoon to address primary exposure to COVID-19 amongst various grade bands. The Governing Board and administration have jointly decided that The Main Street Academy’s campus will be closed next week, February 8 – 12, 2021, in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Fulton County Department of Health’s quarantine guidelines. TMSA’s faculty, staff and students in grades K- 8 will adhere to virtual instruction and learning the week of February 8th. As previously scheduled, the campus remains closed on Monday, February 15, 2021 – President’s Day.

Prior to today’s afternoon dismissal, teachers informed students on campus of resources and supplies to take home in preparation for virtual instruction next week.

TMSA households confirmed for meal pick-up on Monday, February 8th may pick-up their meals on campus as scheduled. 

During the week of campus closure, schoolwide cleaning will continue per CDC guidelines.

It is very important for TMSA students to stay home if they are sick and/or if someone in the household has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Please contact TMSA’s nurse, Nurse Jackson, to report all diagnosed and suspected student and household illnesses.
