Face-to-Face Instruction for Hundreds of TMSA Students (K-8) Begins January 25th

Face-to-face instruction for approximately 200 – 250 The Main Street Academy (TMSA) students in grades K – 8 will begin on Monday, January 25, 2021. Principal Parker, along with school administrators, hosted virtual logistical meetings with TMSA parents and guardians who opted for their children to receive face-to-face instruction at the onset of second semester/third quarter at TMSA.

On January 12, 2021 TMSA's Governing Board called a special meeting and voted to waive the school's uniform policy for the remainder of the 2020 - 2021 academic school year for students attending face-to-face instruction. However, TMSA parents and guardians may still purchase TMSA branded uniforms from the school's four official uniform vendors

TMSA welcomed approximately 30 kindergarten students to campus on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 for in-person instruction. These eager students were very excited to attend TMSA in-person for the very first time.

In addition to TMSA teachers who teach core curriculum, the schools’ specials teachers are very eager to teach face-to-face instruction. Pictured is TMSA’s media specialist, Kaitlin Taylor, and Mr. Wiggle who will offer social distanced media center visits for students, as well as mobile library services to read to students in their classrooms.
