The Main Street Academy’s students in grades K – 8 are currently studying the elements of music using a variety musical concepts and techniques. Students are virtually experiencing and learning music through songs and lyrics, performing rhythms and melodies with instruments, and promoting creativity in music using previous and acquired knowledge of music to create unique improvisation, compositions, and arrangements.
Scholars are also learning many different genres of music, as well as composers, and utilize that knowledge to help students build stronger connections to the world around them. TMSA’s Music Department is working diligently to provide students with a musical experience that will encourage them to use the connections between music and other disciplines to further their personal endeavors.
**TMSA Specialized Music Classes Update**
TMSA currently isn’t offering specialized music classes, including band, chorus, piano, and guitar as there currently isn’t a scheduled time to meet. Therefore, different materials for students to continue to practice their instruments and enhance their craft will be emailed out periodically.
