The Main Street Academy, Cox Enterprises and KaBOOM! are Building a Playground!
College Park, September 27, 2017 – The Main Street Academy (TMSA) is honored to announce it has been awarded a playground grant by the partnership of KaBOOM! and Cox Enterprises.
KaBOOM! and Cox Enterprises announced the playground build date will take place on November 3, with site prep work scheduled for the two previous days. TMSA students, parents and faculty will all have the opportunity to vote on the playground’s design, and are encouraged to volunteer in all phases of the playground build project. The playground will be assembled almost entirely by volunteers from all three organizations, as well as other community members.
“I am excited that every student at The Main Street Academy will now have an outlet to express their creativity through free play,” said TMSA Principal Cheryl Parker. “Recess is paramount for our students to succeed academically, socially and physically.”
